Our Story

Why Moon Jar?

Moon jars, or "dalhangari" in Korean, are ceramic vessels originating from the late Joseon dynasty (late 19th century to early 20th century).

Echoing the shape of a floating full moon, they carry significant cultural and aesthetic value, symbolizing the beauty of imperfection and authenticity. The moon's symbolism runs deep in many cultures, representing inner wisdom and life's cyclical nature. It mirrors the journey of self-discovery, embracing growth and renewal. Moon Jar Travel & Retreats invites you to embark on a transformative journey amidst breathtaking landscapes, where the pursuit of wellness intertwines with cultural immersion and discovery.
